Paint Your Pet! Workshop with Patty Barnes

Saturday, November 2, from 11:00 – 2:00 pm.

This class sells out quickly, enroll today! “Paint Your Pet” in gouache class.  Instructor Patty Barnes will provide the gouache, participants will be asked to bring watercolor paper and brushes. This is a time to celebrate our winsome pets amongst beginning and not-so-beginning artists!

Materials Patty uses:

• Participants should bring photographs or follow guided examples from the museum collection
•  6x8 and 8x8  Fluid100 300lb paper
• If students want to purchase their own gouache, Patty prefers the Holbein and Winsor & Newton brands. 

Patricia Barnes, an award-winning oil painter, studied watercolor, drawing, and oil painting at Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY, graduating with a BFA in Art History. Barnes earned her Master's Degree at the University of Wisconsin. Her work has sold nationally and internationally. Barnes specializes in oils that capture the heart of Cape Cod expressed through light and color— often with a touch of whimsy.

Barnes’ work is available at The Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis, MA, and Eastwind Gallery in Orleans, MA. She is a juried member of the American Impressionist Society, Inc., Oil Painters of America, and the Cape Cod Art Center.

Barnes lives in Dennis, MA.
