Mastering Linear Perspective in Drawing with Robert Mesrop

Have you ever completed a painting or drawing and realized the perspective is off? Establishing perspective in your early study will prevent problems later.

Join Cape Cod artist Robert Mesrop as he instructs the class in linear perspective, including one-point, two-point, and three-point perspectives. Students will feel confident finding the horizon line and vanishing points and the relationship of eye level to the horizon line. This course will also include other aspects of drawing such as the importance of the relation of one line or shape to those adjacent to it.

The bi-weekly format allows time for students to complete work for review/discussion with the instructor.

Suggested materials list:

• 18 x 24 inch drawing pad
• 2B pencils and eraser
• 18-inch ruler would be handy

Robert Mesrop is a Signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the New England Watercolor Society, and the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society. He graduated with a Bachelor of Professional Arts degree from the Art Center College of Design. He spent over 20 years in New York City as an art director at J. Walter Thompson and Kenyon & Eckhardt advertising agencies. 

Robert presently lives on Cape Cod and is a painting instructor at the Cape Cod Museum of Art, the Cape Cod Art Center, and the Creative Art Center. Robert is represented by the Fresh Paint Studio at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, Yarmouth, MA.
