To know artist Bob Henry is to be inspired. The film, Bob Henry: Vision Is Thought, is a visit with the artist in his Wellfleet gallery and studio where Bob shares with us his energetic, vibrantly creative life; drawing, painting, walking, writing, making music, and spending time with fellow artists, friends, and family. This screening will be followed by a Q/A with the artist and filmmaker as well as a book signing for Bob’s new publication, For Artists and Art Lovers, A Handbook, available in the Museum Shop.
Robert Henry was born in 1933 in Brooklyn, NY. He attended Brooklyn College, the Brooklyn Museum School, and was awarded a scholarship to the Hans Hofmann School of Fine Arts in Provincetown, Mass. Robert has held numerous group and solo exhibitions internationally, from Cape Cod to London, Paris, and Oslo, among other places. He is represented by the Berta Walker Gallery on Cape Cod, is Professor Emeritus of Art at the City University of New York, and is a former President of the Provincetown Art Association and Museum.
