About
Wolk has recently written two highly-acclaimed novels for young readers—Wolf Hollow (Dutton, 2016), a New York Times best-seller and Beyond the Bright Sea (Dutton, 2017), just out and named to many lists of Best Book of 2017.
In 1999, Random House published her first novel, Those Who Favor Fire. A year later she became an English and Creative Writing teacher at Sturgis Charter School in Hyannis, working there for four years before leaving to write her second novel, Forgiving Billy, which was twice nominated for the Pushcart Editor’s Book Award and which won the 2006 Hackney Literary Award. It awaits publication.
Wolk is also a visual artist represented by the Larkin Gallery in Provincetown and the Post Office Gallery in North Truro, a poet whose work has appeared in numerous literary journals, and, since 2007, the Associate Director of the Cultural Center of Cape Cod.
