A presentation by Australian actors Ella Cannon and Jenna Rosenow, founders of Midnight Madhouse Productions.
Ella Cannon and Jenna Rosenow are creating a series for television based on the narrative non-fiction book, The Tin Ticket by Harwich author Deborah Swiss. They will discuss this project, their passion for female-driven stories that have a deep connection to both history and humanity, behind-the-scenes industry realities that audiences don't see, and how they plan to overcome barriers faced by women in the film industry. Ella stars in the new Netflix film Trees of Peace and CW’s iZombie. Jenna is well-known for her roles in the Australian series Neighbours and Netflix’s Firefly Lane.
Deborah Swiss will talk briefly about her inspiration for the The Tin Ticket. Digney Fignus will perform his original song All For Love, which honors the survivors in The Tin Ticket.
This talk will be moderated by Mindy Todd, host of The Point on WCAI, NPR radio, and will include a Q & A at the end.
Weather permitting, the presentation will take place outside in the Museum's Sculpture Garden.
