Supporting funding provided by Robert and Cathey Portrie and a grant from

the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod.

Sarah Holl is an innovative mixed-media painter and ceramicist who began her career in clay at her family’s Scargo Pottery on Cape Cod. Sarah’s early influences were her grandfather the Swiss-born, American sculptor Arnold Geissbuhler, father and artist Harry Holl who co-founded the Cape Cod Museum of Art, Sam Feinstein, and Cynthia Packard. Her evolution as an artist began in clay with large-scale ceramic installations which can be found in many collections and public spaces including Cape Cod Hospital. Sarah attended the Art Institute of Boston and is currently based at her studio in the Village of Dennis. She shares her passion for the arts on a daily basis by being a mentor for numerous interns and teaches figure drawing and portrait painting classes at

her studio. Sarah is committed to art and continues to explore new methods to express her creativity.

In 2022, the Cape Cod Museum of Art publicly recognized Sarah’s artistic achievements and commitment to the Cape Cod Art community by honoring her with the CCMoA “Artist Muse Award.”
